Tuesday evening saw the opening of London Art Fair, which is taking place 13-17 January at the Business Design Centre in Islington. Eyestorm are occupying stand G10 upstairs from the mezzanine level, and are showing work by a selection of their artists including Dan Baldwin, Whitney McVeigh, Mauricio Ortiz, Josie McCoy, Lucie Bennett, and Henrik Simonsen, Ross Holden, John Pasche, Edd Pearman, Marcelle Hanselaar, Rob Carter, Mark Hayward, John Simpson, Vic Reeves, Gill Rocca and Toby Smith

From 6pm the fair was swarmed with visitors enjoying some rather strong cocktails, courtesy of Jack Daniels, and isles and stands became packed.

At the Eyestorm stand Vic Reeves and his wife Nancy Sorrell mingled with clients and fair-goers as Vic talked about his three paintings that were hanging in the Eyestorm space. His surreal Lady & Mammoth, gained the most attention as Vic and Nancy re-created the pose of the painting, which shows a woolly mammoth reaching for the behind of a topless 1950's pin-up character with one of his tusks, which merge into human hands. Inevitably, a photographer from the Evening Standard spotted them and a picture was printed in the paper the next day with a piece about the fair.

Other visitors to the stand included Paul Whitehouse, a regular client of Eyestorm's, and his on-screen colleague Simon Day, and Johnny Borrell from the band Razorlight.

Below are some photos from the opening. If you still haven't been down to the fair it's open until Monday. Click here for full opening times and venue address.
